Thank you to those who had offered their time!!
The Hawkeyes are in the Whitby Santa Claus Parade this Saturday December 3rd!
We are hoping to have a great turnout of players, coaches and supporters this Saturday morning for the Whitby Santa Claus parade.
The parade theme is Super Hero Christmas, and all Hawkeyes participants will be decked out in a Hawkeye jersey and a super hero cape.
To make sure we have enough capes, please leave a comment by Wednesday Nov 30th if you will be joining us.
The Marshalling area will be on Manning Rd. from Brock St. to Garden St. Parade entrants will enter the marshalling area from Garden onto Manning.
Both directions of Manning will be closed from Brock to Garden. We will begin aligning Parade entrants starting on the north side of Manning at Brock facing west. Entrants will continue to be lined up until Garden.
Children should arrive between 8:30 and 9:30 am. Entries that are not in the marshalling area by 9:30 am will be removed from the parade at the discretion of the Parade Marshall.
People can access the Parade Marshall area at the corner of Garden St. and Manning Rd.
The parade will go along Brock from Manning St. and finish at the Centennial Rotary Park.
The actual parade will begin promptly at 10:00am starting at Brock and Manning as entrants turn from Manning onto Brock south. The Parade will end around noon in the usual location at Brock and Trent (Rotary Centennial Park).
Smaller Floats, bands and walking groups will be directed right (West) onto Trent St. West. Then will turn south onto Byron ending at the Centennial Rotary Park.
Children will be unloaded in front of the Centennial Rotary Park
FINAL EQUIPMENT RETURN – As a reminder all equipment loaned to your player by the Oshawa Hawkeyes MUST be returned to the Hawkeyes in good, clean condition upon our request. The final opportunity for equipment return will be at the Hawkeyes Clubhouse on Saturday, November 19 at NOON. Any equipment outstanding after this date will automatically relinquish their $100 equipment deposit.
SANTA CLAUS PARADE:
The Santa Claus Parade will start at 6PM. We ask that participants be there no later than 5:30PM. The marshalling will take place at Sears (West parking Lot). We will have some parents meet participants and bring them over to the rest of the group. The parade route should last about an hour.
